Pipe Dreams

My pipe dream, the one I’ve had my ENTIRE life is to own a yacht and spend my winters in Key West and my summers on Block Island.  I’ve been asking the Universe for as long as I can remember and practicing The three tenets of Law of Attraction:
–Ask
–Believe
–Give Thanks

I actually fell in love with Key West in 2006 while my brother, Jay was stationed there.  I was fortunate enough to visit twice in 2006.  Once in January and once in May.

From the moment I stepped off the plane and onto the tarmac of Key West I felt the EXACT same way I do when I visit Block Island.  You can imagine being the photographer that I am just how much I LOVED visiting Key West.

Since I no longer enjoy flying, having a yacht would negate that challenge of travelling.  Even when I loved to fly I had this dream of owning a yacht so I could travel and put in at area marinas up and down the eastern seaboard.  Have my camera, my laptop and I’d be happy.  Spend my days writing and taking pictures.  Who wouldn’t want that life?

These are my two favorite places I’ve EVER visited. The amazing thing is that I’m so close to Block Island that I get to go every year at least once, sometimes as many as three times.

Key West not so much.  A boat would change that.  I could travel anywhere.
What’s your pipe dream?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;

We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying.  For there truly is no end.

Taxi?  Taxi?

Last Monday morning, I woke up from a dream.  A close friend who transitioned in December 2012 came to me in the dream.  As you should be aware I sincerely believe the ONLY way those who have transitioned to reach us is through our dreams.

My friend spotted me walking downtown and stepped out of a yellow cab she drove.  She ran up to me and gave me a HUGE bear hug.  She smiled and whispered in my ear that she had to fake her death because she had to go away.

I was dumbfounded and as I moved to the curb, I asked her if I could tell anyone that she was still alive.  She said I could tell Lisa (Not her real name) at work.  Next thing I know I heard someone yell out Aunt Ellen? (Not her REAL name.)

Lucid Dream

Here’s an odd thing:
There was a point in the dream where I sat on the curb after Ellen left and I KNEW I dreamed this.  I understood that Ellen had indeed transitioned and she hadn’t faked it.  I THOUGHT I woke up, but I was still in the dream and that’s when I realized the truth.

In actuality, I believe Ellen came to me to let me know she was okay where she was now.

Questions

I have a couple rhetorical questions:
–Why did Ellen say she faked her death?
–Why was she driving a taxi?

Why a Taxi?

Here’s what I think:
A taxi is a mode of transportation, right?  Remember the River Styx and the Ferryman?  What if Ellen used the taxi as a metaphor for traveling between the realms?  Since dreams are the only way for those who have transitioned to reach us we should feel blessed when we are graced with their presence.

Have you ever been visited?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Dreams as Past Lives

Okay:
If dreams are a way to reach are higher plane
If dreams are a way to visit with with those who have transitioned
Have you ever considered whether dreams could be a conduit to your past life?

Have you ever thought of seeking out a past life?
You know we all come back again and again, don’t you?

I’ve seen too much, experienced too much to not know this is the case.

In order to experience a past life, a therapist will put you under deep hypnosis, relaxing you to a state where you are able to “see” what happened long before you incarnated in this most recent life.

If you should be in a relaxed state to see a past life, what is more relaxed then R.E.M. sleep, the time when you are in the deepest sleep possible.  Have you ever thought that perhaps a dream you experienced seemed all too familiar?  Maybe you woke with a start. thinking:
Holy…
Holy…
What was that?

Maybe you have recurring dreams.  As I’m writing this column I recall a few recurring dreams I experienced when I was younger.  Two such recurring dreams:
Block Island and Pompeii

I’ve ALWAYS been fascinated by both such places.  One recurring dream I particularly recall about Pompeii is being in the city and watching as Mount Vesuvius blew.  In the dream I THINK I can actually feel the heat as it settles over the city.

I’ve had this dream so often now that I’m no longer distressed over it.  Just another one of my weird spiritual oddities of this, my latest incarnation.  Could it be that I was REALLY there?  I’ll leave that determination up to someone else.  I’m simply giving information.  How you choose to see it is entirely up to you.

Pompeii

has been an obsession from the first time I learned about the city when studying Geography and History in Branford, Connecticut at the Branford Intermediate School in 1976-1977.  I vividly recall being entranced by Mrs. Ewer, my 5th grade teacher as she discussed what happened to Pompeii.

Providence College

Another interesting story I experienced:
Several years ago, I had someone I trust do a spiritual reading on me.  She knew a bit about me but knew nothing about my Pompeii obsession.  A little while into the reading, she opened her eyes and looked straight at me and said:
Pompeii

Goosebumps all over my arms.

She said:
You MUST go there!

I can tell you that I’ve read everything about Pompeii.

I’ve been to EVERY exhibit I can get to.

In 2008 the National Museum in Washington DC had a HUGE Pompeii exhibit.  I was there.
In 2010 at the Discovery Museum in New York City another Pompeii exhibit.  I was there.

Block Island

has always been another one of my obsessions and I’ve experienced recurring dreams about being there as well.  That COULD be explained away easier than the Pompeii dreams as I go to Block every year.

Block Island

One of the things past lifers say about sensing they’ve been somewhere in a past life is that they experience a sense of peace, a sense of calm envelope them as they are in the location.  When my feet touch Block the first time every summer, I THINK I can actually feel a buzzing flow through me.  It happens EVERY time I arrive there.

It is up to you on how you take what I write here at this column and at my blog in general.  I’m simply providing information.  Information that some feel strongly about.  I’m completely convinced that we all return over and over.

Dreams and recurring dreams MAY indicate a past life.
Do you believe?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Saint Brigid of Ireland

Image from:
Catholic.org

Welcome to another edition of Saints Monday.

Saint Brigid of Ireland is special to me as my friends in the column The Professor and her Husband are integral to Saint Brigid.  Before they both transitioned, the professor’s husband became EXTREMELY spiritual.  You can read about SOME of his transformation in my linked column.  Whether you believe what I’m about to write or not is beside the point.

He believed and that’s ALL that was important to him.

During the time that he was incarnated and after his wife transitioned, he and I shared a spiritual bond.  We communicated through emails and I visited him frequently.  I saved many of our email correspondences because they were important to me as a reminder of our deep friendship.  As a map to this column I want to share a couple of the emails.

First is one that he replied to in an email I sent regarding a dream I had of his wife who transitioned earlier.

Even after close to ten years later I can vividly recall that dream:
The professor was on a steamship.  She had short close cropped black hair as she did in life.  She was standing at the ship’s forward looking out at the vast ocean.  Beside her was a pale woman with wavy blonde hair, a study in contrasts.

I recall being somewhat present in the dream and I was able to interact JUST a bit with the scenery.

I happened to glance up at the ship and saw an Irish flag rippling in in the wind.

This was her husband’s response to me:
February 28, 2004
Chris:
To you, this very powerful email.
All dreams have a meaning for the one’s who dreams it.
Your dream has two meanings, among many others.

1. She wanted to let you she is coming back.
The other woman is someone she met aboard the ship.

2. She wanted you to tell me that she is coming to me from across the ocean, that she was born in Europe, somewhere blonds are prevalent.  England or Ireland, so I would know she is not an American citizen, which will soon be fixed.

Whatever her name is in this life, she is a fully awakened Ascended Master, with all the knowledge of all her past lives.

Yes Chris, your “sighting”  spoke volumes to me.

Remember she will only visit us the ones on this earth that she loves very much, to key me so I can receive more information, as you have just done.

She, with her returning back in the body will enlighten many souls as she reveals herself to certain souls.

Especially her sons who are seeds of two masters, and they can only be what she and I are, she will get them to understand this,

Chris she may be what is called a walk in, I will explain this to you when we meet.

She is of the Violet Light, and this Light can move mountains, as well as souls.

Revelations, flying into my head by the hundreds now.
Edited for brevity.

I hope you noticed some of the words he chose:
–fully awakened
–Ascended Master
–Past Lives
–enlighten many souls

Again, whether you choose to believe this isn’t the point.
I BELIEVE and that’s what matters.  I knew BOTH of them long before either one took ill.  And he was far from the spiritual being he became once his wife transitioned.  It was almost as if someone new entered his soul.

I think he believed the blond woman beside his wife was Saint Brigid, especially being that Saint Brigid is often portrayed in images as being blonde.  You may see the connection for why I believe that in the next email I share:

One more email to tie the connections together and once more this email is edited for brevity:
Date: Wed, 3 Mar 2004
Subject: little update

Chris,
Here is a little information about the “coming.”

This is vague however I believe this information that I felt through my inner voice are correct.

She lives in Southern Ireland not to far from Kildare.

I was there last Feb. 2003 in Kildare for the Feast day for Brigid 2-1-03.

I believe her husband saw the connection to Saint Brigid that was ALWAYS there.

Miracles of Saint Brigid:
–Several of Brigid’s miracles occurred on Easter Sunday. On this day, a leper had come to Brigid to ask for a cow. She asked for a time to rest and would help him later; however, he did not wish to wait and instead stated he would go somewhere else for a cow. Brigit then offered to heal him, but the man stubbornly replied that his condition allowed him to acquire more than he would healthy. After convincing the leper that this was not so, she told one of her maidens to have the man washed in a blessed mug of water. After this was done, the man was completely cured and vowed to serve Brigid.

–Brigid was when she went to the King of Leinster to ask for land to build a convent. She told the king that the place where she stood was the perfect place for a convent. It was beside a forest where they could collect firewood and berries. There was also a lake nearby that would provide water and the land was fertile. The king laughed at her and refused to give her any land. Brigid prayed to God and asked him to soften the king’s heart. Then she smiled at the king and said “will you give me as much land as my cloak will cover?” The king thought that she was joking and because Brigid’s cloak was so small he knew that it would only cover a very small piece of land. The king agreed and Brigid spread her cloak on the ground. She asked her four friends to hold a corner of the cloak and walk in opposite directions. The four friends walked north, south, east and west. The cloak grew immediately and began to cover many acres of land. The king was astonished and he realized that she had been blessed by God. The king fell to the ground and knelt before Brigid and promised her and her friends money, food and supplies. Soon afterwards, the king became a Christian and also started to help the poor and commissioned the construction of the convent. Legend has it, the convent was known for making jam from the local blueberries which was sought for all over Ireland. There is a new tradition beginning among followers of St. Brigit to eat jam on the 1st of February in honour of this miracle.

Catholic.org

This is yet another example of the connections I see everywhere.  My connection to Saint Brigid travels back in time to 2004 with The Professor and her Husband.  These people are always in my thoughts, never far away.  How many people who have transitioned so long ago are still in your thoughts?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!

Blessings to you.

Everyone Dreams

Everyone dreams.
The THEORY is that the ONLY time we DON’T dream is when we’re in transition.
Theory?  Yes.  Has anyone returned from transition and been able to debate the fact that:
Yes we DO dream when we
we’re in transition.
We just may not remember our dreams.  If we didn’t dream we’d be in transition.  So why am I writing about Dreaming today?  Well, because my friend, Debra at Pure and Simple recently wrote a post called Off the Wall that I left a comment on about experiencing lucid dreaming and a few times several years ago having a FEW prophetic dreams.  Debra wanted to know more about my experience with these dreams.

One of the oddest night time experiences I’ve had, occurred while I was still living with my parents.  I don’t know whether you’d call this a dream.  If not, I have NO idea what you’d call this:
I woke up in the middle of the night waking everyone else in the house in process yelling out:
Where are the cutters?

My Mom walked into my bedroom and found me on my knees flipping up the bedspread, peering under my bed for the “Cutters.”  I distinctly, even to this day, recall the cutters (scissors) lying on my bed (in my dream) and falling to the floor.  I was halfway between sleep and awake when I crawled out of bed and began looking for the scissors.  It was far from my mind that what I was doing was any bit out of the ordinary.

I saw the scissors fall in my dream and I wanted them back.
Alas since the experience WAS a dream, I never found the cutters.

Lucid Dreams:
Dreaming when we know we are dreaming.  Sometimes we can manipulate the dream to our benefit.  I’ve experienced lucid dreaming on occasion and sometimes been able to change the course of a dream.  One such time occurred about a month ago:
In my dream, I was out with my Dad fishing on Martha’s Vineyard.  I SUDDENLY became aware this was a dream. (I’m never quite sure how these things happen, but I clearly understood that I was dreaming.)  My Dad was half way down the beach and for some reason I wanted to reach him.  I couldn’t.  In my dream I wasn’t supposed to reach him.  I was stuck in the sand.  It was at this moment that I realized this was a dream and all I had to do was move my feet one after the other.  In my dream state I clearly saw myself putting one foot in front of the other.  I reached my Dad in a heartbeat.  It was as I reached out to him that I woke.

I think the knowledge that I was indeed dreaming had an effect on waking me up at that point.

Prophetic Dreams:
Dreams where what you dream become reality in the future.  There have only been a handful of times when I recall having prophetic dreams.  And when that has occurred, I don’t immediately recall the dream happening.  In fact, after I recall the dream, it feels like a cloud, a fog almost. Almost like the dream never happened in the first place.  And the prophetic dreams I HAVE experienced only go so far.  I haven’t had a prophetic dream in a long while, but here’s an example of what I mean by they only go so far.  The last prophetic dream I recall having:
I was out riding (I wasn’t driving.) in a  car going to visit my dad on Martha’s Vineyard.  We passed a sign on the highway and I KNEW that I had seen that sign before.  I also knew we were going the wrong way.  It was my sister I was with and I tried to tell her that we were in the wrong lane, but she insisted that we were going the right way.

Guess who turned out to be right?

Visitation Dreams:
This is the MOST recurring example I have of my “sensitivity “ dreams.  When someone close to me transitions, I typically dream about them shortly after.  This happens so frequently now that I welcome the visit, for I understand it is simply a sign to let me know that the visitor is safe.  Dreams are the ONLY way those who have transitioned have to communicate with us.  If you’re fortunate enough to experience this yourself, be grateful.

Anyone else have dream experiences such as these?  Would love to hear from you in the comment field.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Childhood Doors

There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in.

Deepak Chopra

Since learning about this Spiritual/Law of Attraction path I’m on now I’ve been influenced by many practitioners.  One such person is Deepak Chopra.  When I write my blogs, I typically look for appropriate quotes that I can expound upon.  I’d read the above quote several times in the past and never knew it was attributed to Deepak.

Okay. So for my adult readers, do you recall the moment that door opened and showed your future?

It could have been a glimpse of the gift given to you when you incarnated.
It could have been a glimpse of your future soul mate.

How do you know if your door opened?
How do see that door?

Maybe in your dreams.  Dreams can be powerful conduits to the spirit world.  Sometimes what can’t be seen in the physical world can only be seen in the spiritual realm and when our third eye isn’t as clear as some people’s, dreams are a way for spiritual messages to come through; so it is especially important to pay attention to our dreams when we think an ethereal message is attempting a transmission.

As many are aware children are very susceptible to the ethereal, which explains the quote quite clearly.  If those of us who have children wish to help them move along the spiritual path, another way to see the open doors is to teach them the art of meditation.  Meditating can help ease the physical/emotional/spiritual aspects of ourselves.  It can also help in developing the Third Eye.  How many of you who have children show them the art of meditation?

As I’ve mentioned here in the past, those of you who DOhave children are fortunate to be living in this age, for if you are reading my blog I’m going to assume you are aware of this spiritual paradigm we live in now.  You should be teaching your children everything you know about Law of Attraction, that God is EVERYWHERE.  That God loves EVERYONE.

If I have any young children reading my blog, I’d love to hear from you on occasion.  Tell me if you’ve glimpsed your future through one of your ethereal doors.

So we have two ways to see your doors:
–Through dreams.
–Through meditation.

Can you think of any that I missed?
Are there some that you know of that I don’t?
I’d love to hear from you.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

An Unshakeable Power

Amatullah at Stop0Think recently wrote a column called Do You Say “No God?  Amatullah poses the question:
“Is God something mankind has created to suit his personal desires.”

My answer as well as Amatullah’s from what I can gather from his column is No.  I don’t believe God was created by mankind.  I’ve seen too  much, been involved in too many events to deny the existence of God.  I know many people who are atheists and that’s a concept I simply cannot get my hands around

Okay.  So what have I seen and what events have I been involved with that leads me to the conclusion that God does exist?  What I’m going to discuss here is my personal experience and I’m sure some of you may shake your heads thinking:
“Oh that doesn’t prove anything.  And that’s fine, because faith IS a deeply personal thing.

I’m reminded of a scene in Rhonda Byrne’s Movie The Secret where one of the speakers comments on God and relates it to science.  I’m paraphrasing because I don’t recall the exact comments but it’s something like this:
What is matter?  Something that is always there, was always there, will always be there.
What is God?  Something that is always there, was always there, will always be there.

So, see?  One in the same.  God and Science CAN co-exist.

Okay.  So what are some of the events in my life that have created this strong faith I have?  For those of you who are first time visitors or haven’t been here frequently, let me give you a few quick examples of why my faith is so strong.
I sincerely believe that coincidences are one of the ways God communicates with us.
There are no coincidences.  There is only God.  God speaks to us every day.  We just have to be attuned to listen.  Okay.  So how does he speak to us? One way is through the use of coincidence in our lives.  That link I just provided is to my blog where the word coincidence is searched.  Every column where I discuss coincidence will appear.  Feel free to take your time going through those columns and let me know what you think after you’ve read some of them.
When I incarnated during this lifetime, I struggled as an infant; and I truly believe that one of the gifts that was bestowed on me was my strong faith.  God knew I would need more then I could use so he gave me his strength, his faith.  Another link to a column that describes why I have such a strong faith and always will.  God is with me everywhere.

Do you believe?
Do you have faith?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Following The Feet

SeededBuzz Monday
I’ve been returning to SeededBuzz  a bit more recently and that’s only because I want to promote my fellow bloggers.  Last Monday was Bonita Summers The Intuitive Perspective.  Today, lets discuss Cecilia Cotterino’s A Modest Faith.  A couple weeks ago, she wrote:
Walking “in his steps
.”   The title of her column immediately turned me back to my own column called: Footprints in the Sand.  After reading the column that Cecilia refers to called: In His Steps, I realize there are similar traits to my Footprints column and Elle Alice’s In His Steps.

Both columns discuss how footprints can be a metaphor for faith.  In my column, the footprints are that of Jesus.  In Elle Alice’s they are literally a metaphor for Jesus.  Ell Alice writes:
Then I saw them: boot prints. Large boot prints of someone with sturdy steps in the snow. I stepped into the much-larger boot prints and was able to walk up the steep driveway by following the steps of my unknown hero with the big boots. I made it up to my studio and realized, Isn’t this the life of the disciple of Jesus? To follow in His steps?

We are both saying the same thing but we’re getting there differently, Elle Alice says the way to reach God is to follow Jesus, follow in his steps.  When we can’t follow him, when we are in a downturn, when we feel as if the world is weighing us down, when we feel like giving up, that’s where my column can lift you up.  You simply have to reach out, ask for help; that’s when you’ll be cared for, when you’ll be carried.  In the poem Footprints, when the young man looks back over course of his life he sees that at his lowest points the there is only one set of footprints  That’s because as the poem suggests:
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.

If you can remember to always trust in the Divine, in God, in Source and follow in his footsteps as best you can and when you can’t walk another step to reach out and ask for help, you’ll be cared for during your entire time.

Don’t fret!
Don’t worry!

Reach out!
Follow the feet and all will be fine.

After I re-read what I’ve written here thus far, I’m reminded of a quote by Sir Isaac Newton:
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Let’s imagine for a moment that the dreamer in the poem Footprints, REALLY was carried by Jesus and he KNEW he was being carried.  Who is a bigger giant then Jesus?  I understand that I’m taking Newton’s comment out of context, but imagine just how far you COULD see if you were indeed given the opportunity to stand on the shoulders of Jesus?  What WOULD you see?  I wonder.

Your future?
Your past?

Would you want to see?
Could you change anything?
And if you could change something, would you want to?

All esoteric questions I know.  But they’re questions worth considering.  I’ll return to the initial topic here and leave you with this final thought once more:
When things look bleak, remember to follow the feet and reach out when you can no longer walk on your own.  God/Source/The Divine is ALWAYS there!

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Vitamin B, Dreams and Past Lives

Last Saturday night, 01.21.2012, I saw an ad on television for Vitamin B.  Did you know that Vitamin B6 can help you recall your dreams more extensively?  I’d heard it was B12 that helped with the recall and apparently there is research to point to that being the case as well.

I wanted to have all three blog columns written for this week by last Tuesday or Wednesday.  As it turned out I didn’t get this column written until Sunday Morning.  But I understand now that I was waiting for the inspiration to strike in the form of that television ad.

Do you want to recall your dreams on a consistent basis?  The consensus I’ve found is to take up to 75 mg B6 a night and watch for the results.  It may not happen the first night you take the vitamin as it might need time to build up in your system.  If you’re consistent about it, however you may find dream recall improving.

As I was laying in bed this morning before I got up, I started considering the point where dreams and past lives intersect.  Could some of our dreams be recollections of past lives?  You know our subconscious is ALWAYS working.  Maybe our past lives leak into the present via our dreams.  Everyone dreams and it is said that dreams help us work out our challenges we’ve faced through the day before.  How is that different from the meaning of past lives?

There is no difference!  Both dreams and recalling past lives can have an immediate impact on bettering our lives if we make the improvements that are shown to us.

The next question is if Vitamin B can help with dream recall which is really in the subconscious can Vitamin B also help recall past lives? Has this been used in past life regression therapy?  I wonder.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Dream Locations

On Monday, August 29, I wrote about Dream Photography.  Here’s a follow up.  This is in response to a recent post by Jim Brandano,  a blogger I follow  at his blog JP Brandano called:

PHOTOGRAPHING OUR ROAD TRIP TO KEY WEST
All Photographers have favorite places they like to photograph.  Is there somewhere you’ve been that you’d like to return to.  Is there somewhere you haven’t been that you’d like to see? To my photographer followers, what is your favorite place to photograph?

I have two favorite places.
1. Key West
To me Key West is a photographer’s paradise.  It has everything:

Seascapes:
Fort Zachary Beach

Floral:
Nancy Forrester’s Orchids

Free Roaming Chickens:
Key West Chickens

Did you know that the chickens that are still roaming Key West are direct descendents of the original chickens that were brought to the Island for cock fights?

Key West quickly stole my heart as it did many vacationers.  Several people I met there in 2006 who live there even now confided in me that they visited the island for a vacation and never left.  An amazing story I heard time and again.

My other favorite place to visit is Block Island.  Surprisingly, another island.  Wonder what that says about me?

2011 is only the second time since 1993 that I didn’t get to BI at least once in the summer.  Typically I make two or three trips to Block Island every summer.  I missed my trip this year.  My favorite place on BI is:

North Light

North Light is my first stop when I get to Block Island.  So not only do I have a favorite place, I also have a favorite place at my favorite place.  How about anyone else?

I want to thank Jam Brandano again for reminding me of these two special places.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
